Premiere: Sharaya Summers – ‘Light Of The Moon’

Shimmering pop music that is rich in aural beauty...

Sharaya Summers learned to sign in church.

It was a devotional experience, but also a musical one – as she learned about music, she also came to learn about herself.

Swapping church for the bars and venues of Nashville, this wandering spirit eventually found her way to Los Angeles, where she now resides.

Working on solo material, Sharaya aims to match the sheer beauty of devotional music with something a little more universal.

New single 'Light Of The Moon' is the result – sonically beautiful, the songwriting cuts a little deeper. She explains:

"I started this song a few years back. I was in a dark and lonely place, disappointed in how my life was turning out. It sat unfinished, unresolved. The chorus didn't come until a while later on a backpacking trip in the Sierra Nevadas. I looked over this massive glacier lake, staring at the moon, and in a way, it was deeply healing for me. It was a reminder that my problems are so trivial and I'm not owed any answers."
