Premiere: Seafret – ‘Give Me Something’ EP

Check it out now...

Seafret is the name applied by those in the North East of England to the wild mists which roll in off the North Sea.

It's a refreshing name for a band. But then, Seafret have a refreshing style, anyway.

Forged from numerous open mic slots in a small town, the duo have a timeless sound but with a fresh modern twist. Think The Lumineers but with the mystery of the moors, or even the supple Americana of The Staves given a masculine twist.

New EP 'Give Me Something' is available digitally now, with a limited seven inch vinyl pressing due to be given away to fans who sign up to this here newsletter.

Perhaps the duo's most strident, confident gesture yet, it finds Seafret spreading their wings while also defining a unique style. The harmonies are impeccable, but there's a hidden darkness to 'Explosion' or 'Play With Guns'.

The title cut is ablaze with energy, a rattlin' and roarin' salute which is equal parts bluegrass stomp and indie bedlam.
