Recorded in the Canadian winter...
Sam Roberts Band

Weather can effect the mind in different ways.

Sat on a Spanish hill in the depths of Andalusia, Sam Roberts began sketching out what would become his latest album.

Yet the recording process, the actual nitty gritty of producing the record, occurred in the deepest, darkest depths of the Canadian winter.

With British producer Youth at the helm, 'Lo-Fantasy' began to come into view. Perhaps the songwriter's most varied, diverse record to date, the album is set to be released on February 11th via 100% Records.

Ahead of this, Clash is able to bring you a special preview. Stripped from the record, 'Metal Skin' opens with a clipped, 80s-style synth riff before heading into a shimmering, Afrobeat-tinged verse.

Subtly anthemic, 'Metal Skin' just seems to gain in intensity with each passing note.

Check it out below.
