New Zealand party band...
Orchestra Of Spheres

Orchestra Of Spheres have set their sights on the UK - check out their tour dates below.

It shouldn't surprise us, not really. New Zealand has always had a vibrant, energetic music scene, with labels such as Flying Nun developing their own distinct sound.

Yet the past 12 months has seen the Southern Hemisphere nation transformed into a bastion of cool. Bands such as Unknown Mortal Orchestra have enjoyed an international breakthrough, while Connan Mockasin's return underlines New Zealand's predilection for producing genuine one offs.

One offs like Orchestra Of Spheres. A true party band, their surreal, oddball music takes inspiration from the likes of Devo, Fela Kuti, Hawkwind and Parliament, with an amateurish streak worthy of The Clean.

Setting their sights on Europe, the group have outlined plans for a lengthy, meandering tour. Right there at the end, Orchestra Of Spheres have confirmed a one off UK show as the New Zealand band bring their outlandish show to Dalston venue Power Lunches.

Ahead of this, Clash is pleased to present new cut '2,000,000'. Outrageous avant-funk with a sci-fi bent, it finds Orchestra Of Spheres partying on down with feverish abandon.

Listen to it now.

Orchestra Of Spheres have confirmed the following show:
