Premiere: MSTRKRFT – ‘Runaway’ (The Juan MacLean Remix)

DFA stalwart remixes the Canadian duo...

MSTRKRFT tend to be a deeply physical experience.

Live, the sheer volume, the ferocity of the noise assault, is enough to make your hair stand on end, enough to set your back on your heels.

Beneath this, though, the Canadian duo embark on all manner of complex and subtle rhythmic experiments, fusing everything from metal to house music.

New release 'Runaway (Remixes)' EP picks up on these influences, inviting guest producers to work with a highlight from MSTRKRFT's recent 'OPERATOR' full length.

Clash is able to premiere something special, with DFA stalwart The Juan MacLean teasing out fresh electronic innovation from the duo's bombastic creation.

Silken-smooth house influences ripple alongside traces of the distorted original, with the producer locating the hidden dancefloor core of MSTRKRFT.

It's a real trip. Tune in below.
