Premiere: Max Jury – ‘West Coast’

Yep, he's covering Lana Del Rey...

Old before his time, Max Jury tends to look back to the classics.

The Ohio native is steeped in classic Americana, with his songwriting recalling the fated country of Hank Williams or even classic Dylan.

With his vision of a wounded America, Max Jury seems to have found a kindred spirit in Lana Del Rey. Clearly transfixed by her fusion of classic glamour and moody melancholia, the singer has decided to cover recent single 'West Coast'.

It's an intriguing cover. Removed the lush orchestration, Max Jury honed in on the lyrics, on its tale of being transfixed by the glamour of the West Coast: "Down on the West Coast they got a sayin' – "if you're not drinkin' then you're not playin'…"
