Premiere: Laminate Pet Animal – ‘Eve’

Abstract pop laced with intelligence...

Leeds singles club Come Play With Me has carved out a reputation for uncovering and supporting new artists.

The project's latest releases definitely eschews this mindset, pitting Team Picture against Laminate Pet Animal.

Available on seven inch vinyl, the release launches via a special show at Leeds' Brudenell Social Club on February 9th (ticket LINK).

Clash is able to share the new cut from Laminate Pet Animal, and 'Eve' is something rather special indeed.

Abstract pop laced with intelligence, it fuses the digital with the organic, a continually revolving song structure that echoes but never repeats.

The band's Charlotte Jones explains: “Departing from the delicate nature of our last single 'For Her', 'Eve' is a heavier hitting downtempo dance track. The track deals with the unbalance that you can sometimes feel at the end of a relationship, where you don't see eye to eye. 'Eve' explores this topic through fragmented samples, deep bass and gentle vocals.”
