Premiere: Kamikaze Girls – ‘Sad’

Bold, honest songwriting from the DIY duo...

Kamikaze Girls are a London-Leeds duo, whose inventive DIY punk sound is bonded to a deeply honest sense of songwriting.

Singer Lucinda Livingstone is frank and open about her mental health issues, believing that the conversation around such problems is absolutely vital.

As such, 'Sad' is both a thrilling and deeply challenging listen. At any point Kamikaze Girls can be hurling themselves into a titanic, Sleater-Kinney style riff but will always pull themselves out for a period of self-reflection.

Embedded in the UK DIY underground, Kamikaze Girls will release new EP 'Sad' via Bearded Punk Records (UK/EU) and Wiretap Records (US) – pre-order the cassette HERE.

Clash has the jump on the release, and it's an inspired, moving collection of barbed rock songs.

Tune in now.
