Ivan Smagghe and Tim Paris are bonded by numerous things – two Parisians exiled in London, the producers have led concurrent, but rarely overlapping, careers.
Until now. New project It's A Fine Line finds the pair working together, accompanied by a handful of select, hand-picked guests.
The duo will release a studio album this summer, with new cut 'The Delivery' hitting the web today.
Crisp, exploratory electronics, It's A Fine Line are emboldened by the presence of Franz Ferdinand frontman Alex Kapranos on vocals.
Those familiar, arch, witty tones seem to bring together the varied threads of Messrs Smagghe and Paris, into something resembling a pop song.
Pop from another dimension entirely, of course. Tune in now.
It's A Fine Line will release their debut album in September, 'The Delivery' is out now (purchase LINK). Like the snazzy artwork? It's by Gareth McConnell, y'know.
