Two friends re-unite...
Hyde & Beast

Sometimes music make purely for fun, solely for the hell of it, can be the most thrilling.

Two old friends from Sunderland, David Hyde and Neil Bassett first paired up as Hyde & Beast back in 2011. Debut album 'Slow Down' was a curious treat, the sound of two old compadres simply relaxing in the studio.

Well, they're back. Announcing a small string of live dates, Hyde & Beast have also handed Clash a brand new track to premiere.

'Blue' is a raucous glam stomper - there are shades of Marc Bolan's guitar in that rolling riff, while the sighing vocals had shades of pastoral psychedelia.

It's an enlivened return, with Hyde & Beast even throwing in slices of flute and kazoo. Why? Well, because they can. And that's what makes it great.

Listen to it now (oh, and you can download it too...)

Hyde & Beast are set to play the following shows:

27 Stockton Weekender

9 Sunderland Split Festival
30 Bernicia Festival

27 Middlesborough Live
