Premiere: From Indian Lakes – ‘Ghost’

"The video is a dark, and more literal take on the meaning of the song..."

To UK observers, From Indian Lakes no doubt seem like newcomers.

Yet the band's roots extend back to 2009. Hailing from Yosemite National Park, California, the band formed around the watchful eye of Joey Vannucchi.

Debut album 'The Man With Wooden Legs' arrived shortly afterwards, with From Indian Lakes taking four years to deliver a follow up.

When it did arrive, though, said LP was a gem. 'Able Bodies' was packed with evident maturity, fusing tinges of Americana with strident, soaring, rock-addled songwriting.

New album 'Absent Sounds' arrives on October 6th, but ahead of this Clash can co-premiere the video for 'Ghost'. Here's Joey Vannucchi with an introduction:

"While all of the songs in some way deal with life, death and love, 'Ghost' is one of the songs on Absent Sounds that closely examines feeling like a ghost in the world in a more lyrically blunt way at times."

"The video is a dark, and more literal take on the meaning of the song" he continued. "I think it works well. We are excited about where these songs and the new album will take us, and about getting to the UK very soon with a label and strong team behind us now."

'Absent Sounds' is due to be released on October 6th.
