Premiere: Ex Cops – ‘Black Soap’

Ex Cops – nomadic duo Amalie Bruun and Brian Harding – have a fine line in 90s alt rock flavoured songwriting.

So much so, in fact, that Smashing Pumpkins' own Billy Corgan agreed to oversee the band's new album. Second album 'Daggers' is forthcoming, matching the pair's lust for abrasive noise to a clear fondness for classic pop.

Meeting somewhere in the middles, Ex Cops filter through some distorted electronics, a noir atmosphere that lingers long after the music has stopped.

Clash is able to premiere new track 'Black Soap', and it's a powerful introduction. Like a pop-oriented Nine Inch Nails fused with Mazzy Star's blissed out appeal, you can tune in below:
