Out Monday, July 14th, ‘Wolves’ is the freshest slice of sonic seduction to come our way from Digitalism, aka Hamburg-formed pair Jens Moelle and Ismail Tüfekçi.
Indicative of a new direction for the several-releases-deep duo, who’ve two albums to their name so far, ‘Wolves’ brings a more indie-dance sound to the fore – helped in no small part by the contributions of LA-based band Youngblood Hawke.
“'We like the use of light and dark,” says Youngblood Hawke of ‘Wolves’. “The song is upbeat and creates a euphoric atmosphere, and the lyrics paint a grimmer picture.”
A collision between sleek European dance and more rugged American indie, ‘Wolves’ is instantly catchy – so much so that you might want more than its three-minutes-13 single edit, which you can see/hear here. Indeed, a 12” mix might be just what you’ve a hankering for.
Hanker no more!

‘Wolves’, out through Digitalism’s own Magnetism Records, is backed on release by remixes from Riton, Booka Shade and RAC. A third full-length album will follow in 2015.
