Dark Horses

Dark Horses sound dangerous.

Dark, demented rock 'n' roll with a psychedelic twist, they seem - to put it mildly - like the sort of kids who wouldn't be trusted with the scissors during Primary School art lessons.

There's that twinkle of dis-obedience in their music, that slight seam of independence which refuses to be crushed. The Brighton group's second album arrives next month, but before then Dark Horses will release new single 'Saturn Returns'.

There are shades of Krautrock in its eternal groove, with the layers of noise echoing the psychedelic reverberations of TOY, say, or even the Brian Jonestown Massacre.

Yet they always stand apart. Mean and magnificent, 'Saturn Returns' is sci-fi psychedelia, lysergic imagination attached to a stone cold groove.

Out on August 18th, you can listen to it below.
