Hailing from London via Canada and Rwanda, Auclair is difficult to define.
A multi-instrumentalist, her abilities span styles, disciplines. Hugely talented, it's almost easier to list what Auclair can't do given the breadth of her output.
Firmly ensconced in London's (for lack of a better term) avant pop scene, recent recording sessions included co-productions with Marc Pell (Micachu & the Shapes, Maxixe, Benin City) and Tom Wegg-Prosser (We Have Band).
Ambitious new EP 'Semaphore' is out on September 29th on Kit Records, a limited edition CD and book package designed by artist Sarah Tanat-Jones.
Clash is able to premiere a new track. 'Mersea Mersea Me' is more than just a fantastic Marvin Gaye pun, Auclair manages to string together something which is both challenging and utterly pop.
A true nugget of joy, you can tune in below.
Auclair is set to play the following shows:
September
24 London Power Lunches (Semaphore Launch Party)
25 Bristol Cafe Kino
