Tech-house hard-hitter gets re-worked...

Ever prolific, Alex Niggemann manages to match a constant flood of releases with an impressively high standard of creativity.

No matter what style he turns to, though, Alex Niggemann is continually referenced within the tech-house sphere. Combining the propulsive machine-funk of Detroit with the deep, soulful side of Chicago and New Jersey, the producer's staple sound is a confident fusion of mind and body, digital and organic.

'Materium' arrived earlier this year, a heavyweight monster which seemed to earn almost instant acclaim. A sought after cut, bootleg remixes of 'Materium' swiftly arrived.

Recruiting some close friends, admirers and fellow travellers, Alex Niggemann is set to release a remix EP focussing on 'Materium' later this year - featuring remixes from Mather Dear (Audion) and more.

Out shortly via Poker Flat, Clash is able to premiere Ripperton's take on 'Materium'. Taking the production far into deep house territory, this new version seems to amplify the bittersweet melodics of Niggemann's original.
