Prefuse 73 Drops New Mixtape

Prefuse 73 has released a new mixtape with Zola Jesus, after confirming a Flaming Lips collaboration.

Mixing left field hip hop with IDM and glitchy electronics, Prefuse 73 is part of a new generation of producers. Real name Guillermo Scott Herren the beatsmith has taken on a huge variety of projects.

Merging hip hop beats with head spinning electronics, Prefuse 73 is set to return later this month with new album 'The Only She Chapters'. Due for release on April 25th, the album has not stopped the producer from making new material.

Teaming up with Zola Jesus recently, the pair completed a fresh mixtape. The full tracklisting goes way over our heads, although contributions from Broadcast are always welcome. Meanwhile, Prefuse 73 has revealed that he is collaborating with The Flaming Lips. Wayne Coyne & Co. recently worked with Neon Indian, and seem to be intrigued by the possibilities of inviting new producers on board.

Speaking to fans on Twitter Herren said: "Currently working with: (the)"Flaming Lips" on 2 songs and I think it's the first time I've ever been "scared" by a collaboration. These songs are already AMAZING!"
