Postal Service Album Rumours

Band May Never Record Again

Ben Gibbard, Death Cab For Cutie mainman, has stated that his acclaimed side project The Postal Service may never record another album in a new interview.

The Postal Service released their spell-binding debut 'Give Up' in 2003. Immediately hailed as an instant classic its mixture of crunching indie rock guitars, electronic beats and ethereal vocals made for an intoxicating mix.

However in a new interview with US magazine Rolling Stone Gibbard revealed the band may never record again. "It's the record that never seems to want to come out. It's also just never been a priority...There never really was a plan to do a second album."

"I don't know about it being the indie-rock Chinese Democracy," Gibbard continued, "but now that Chinese Democracy has come out, I guess it just becomes the second Postal Service record that will never come out."

"We work from time to time together but we have other things that take up all of our time."

Tragically, there is no release date for a new Postal Service album.
