Legendary trip hop group Portishead are set to make their live return with a full UK tour, a mere 9 years after entering a self imposed hiatus.
The Bristol group, renowned for their intense mixture of hip hop, jazz, electronica and whatever else they fancied, released two acclaimed albums in the 90s - "Dummy" and "Portishead". An appearance at All Tomorrow's Parties late last year saw the band debut new material from their as-yet-untitled new album, due out on April 14th.
Portishead will play the following tour dates:
April 9th - Manchester, Apollo
April 10th - London, Hammersmith Apollo
April 12th - Edinburgh, Corn Exchange
April 13th - Wolverhampton Civic
