One off date confirmed

PJ Harvey has announced plans for a one off show at the Royal Albert Hall later this year.

It's been a big year for PJ Harvey. The singer meticulously researched her new album, with 'Let England Shake' dwelling on the impact the First World War had on the national character. Blending music hall, dream pop, reggae and more it was a thrilling dissection of a vitally important era in British history.

Rewarded with near unanimous acclaim, PJ Harvey was included in the shortlist for the Barclaycard Mercury Music Prize. 'Let England Shake' is her fourth nomination, with one trophy already resting on her mantle-piece.

The final ceremony takes place later this year, with PJ Harvey currently engaged in a series of live commitments. Due to play a number of dates on the continent, the singer will follow this with shows in Glasgow and Manchester next month.

Currently, PJ Harvey's live set up includes appearances from Mick Harvey, John Parish and Jean-Marc Butty.

Focussing on material from 'Let England Shake' fans can expect a few older cuts alongside her latest Mercury nominated effort. Part of a wider European tour, the Royal Albert Hall show follows several Scandinavian dates.

Tickets for the one off show will go on sale from 9am this Friday (August 12th).
