Pixies For Primavera

Reformed alt rock dons Pixies are the second name to be confirmed for the bill at next year's Primavera Sound festival.

Held annually in Barcelona, Primavera Sound takes over one of Europe's most beautiful cities and transforms it into a hub of art and music.

Last year's event was a huge success, with the festival growing in size with each passing instalment. Now one of Europe's most anticipated musical events, preparations are already under way for next summer's festival.

Already confirmed for Primavera 2010 are reformed American alt rock dons Pavement. Due to perform only a short run of dates next year, the hugely influential group are also set to curate and headline All Tomorrow's Parties.

Due to perform at the Stateside Bonnaroo event, Pavement have also been hugely tipped to perform at Glastonbury.

Joining Pavement on the bill for Primavera are fellow p-related Americans Pixies. The reformed grunge pioneers are currently completing a number of very special tour dates, in which they will play their seminal album 'Doolittle' in its entirety.

After each show the performance is due to be released as a special limited edition CD, download and USB. Giving fans a taster of what they can expect from the gigs, Pixies recently released a four track download taken from a 'Doolittle' show in Paris.

Now the band are set to return to Primevera Sound. Taking place between May 27th - 29th only two acts have been confirmed for the festival, with early bird tickets set to go on sale soon.
