Phenomenal Handclap Band Single

New York's loose knit psych-rock collective The Phenomenal Handclap Band are due to release a new single after completing a short UK tour.

Amid a sea of identikit indie groups, The Phenomenal Handclap Band are a multi-coloured iceberg of inspiration. Formed by Daniel Collás (the Witch Doctor) and Sean Marquand (the Medicine Man) the group are the result of a lifelong love of music.

Beginning as underground DJs the two musicians built up an incredible knowledge of music, and began working with a huge range of artists. Forming a unique musical vision, The Phenomenal Handclap Band were assembled to construct their psych-rock sculptures.

A multi-limbed collective, the group earned a cult following on the New York scene with their stunning live performances. Blending together psychedelia, Brazilian rhythms, electro, disco and much more the band's recently debut album was a stunning success.

The band previously released the album track 'You'll Disappear' as a single, which begins life as a plaintive lament before becoming a cosmic dancefloor filler.

New single '15 To 20' continues where its predecessor left off. A stomping, storming delight it will be released on September 28th. Before then, however, The Phenomenal Handclap Band are due to kick off a UK tour.

British dates from the collective are rare, meaning that few have truly indulged in the glory of a live show by the eight-person group. Vast in size and scope, The Phenomenal Handclap Band are a feast for the sense.
