Peter Kay Saves Kaiser Chiefs

Comedian Steps In After Technical Error

Bolton funnyman Peter Kay stepped in when a gig by Kaiser Chiefs in Manchester on Monday (October 13th) was halted by a technical fault.

The band were stunned when guitarist Andrew White's instrument stopped working half way through the sold out performance at the MEN Arena. However, Peter Kay came to the rescue, diverting the audience's attention with a short stand up routine.

According to a source in The Sun newspaper, Kay bounded onstage and delivered "an unrepeatable four-letter tirade" at an audience member.

Kay had been watching the show from the side of the stage after having introduced the band with a rendition of his single 'The Winner's Song', which featured on his recent TV show about reality television.
