Peter Hook & The Light Shows
More dates confirmed...
Peter Hook & The Light have confirmed plans for a series of British shows next year.
It's been a funny old year for Peter Hook. The bass player has led The Light on tours across Europe and North America, pausing to lay down a few tracks in a recording studio.
However Hook has also had to deal with being left out of the New Order re-union. At first ambivalent towards the reformation, when it became obvious that the band were intend on playing more than a few charity shows the bass player let rip with some controversial comments.
The dispute is still ongoing, with New Order recently playing a one off show in London. Focussing on his own career, Peter Hook & The Light have confirmed a number of nationwide shows next year.
Continuing to re-visit the Joy Division back catalogue, Peter Hook & The Light will play a series of dates in May and June.
Due to perform a one off show in Buxton on February 25th, the band will open the tour with a date in Liverpool. Amongst the highlights are the group's second ever Glasgow show, taking place at the Oran Mor.
Heading back down the country, Peter Hook & The Light will play 'Unknown Pleasures' concerts in Nottingham, Sheffield and Oxford. Finishing in London, the band will bring Joy Division's second (and final) album 'Closer' to the city.
Tickets for these shows go on sale at 9am this Friday (December 16th).
Not content with covering Britain, Peter Hook & The Light have also confirmed a lengthy tour of Central Europe before flying out to Australia for their second tour around the country.
