Peter Bjorn and John

Swedish indie group Peter, Bjorn and John are set to return with new album "Seaside Rock" on October 6th through Wichita Records, it has been announced.

Two years on from breakthrough album "Writer's Block", super Swedes Peter, Bjorn and John are set to release their new album "Seaside Rock". Recorded in the same Swedish studio where ABBA recorded some of the most popular anthems, the record features more assured yet melancholic songwriting from the trio.

The group have not rested on their laurels since the release of "Writer's Block", touring the world and commencing side projects. Singer Peter Moren released a solo album earlier this year, titled "The Last Tycoon" it was an unexpected triumph recalling classic singer / songwriters such as James Taylor and Cat Stevens.

The new album will feature the band paying tribute to their homeland. As homage to Peter Bjorn And John's respective hometowns they wanted to feature the voice and dialect from each of the three areas. So apart from the instrumental soundtrack to the lonely childhood of northern Scandinavia you can also hear three monologues about some sort of seaside. The stories are read by a real saxophone player from Norsjö, a grandfather from Vika and the hairdresser Siw from Piteå.

Peter, Bjorn and John will release their new album "Seaside Rock" on October 6th.
