Pete Doherty Moving To Paris?
Babyshambles man may move
Babyshambles mainman Pete Doherty could be set for a move to Paris because he enjoys the creative atmosphere in the city, it has been announced.
The former Libertine has long visited Paris, and has many friends in the city. Many of The Libertines early gigs were in the French capital, as the band took advantage of cheap Eurostar fares to explore Europe. More recently, Pete Doherty travelled to Paris to compose songs for his forthcoming debut solo album.
According to reports Doherty is said to be attracted by the romance of Paris. “Pete is not bothered by people in Paris and finds it creative and romantic,” a friend told the Sun newspaper.
“He wants to move there but will keep his place in Wiltshire as his bread and butter will still be gigging in the UK.”
Paris has a long history of attracting foreign artists, ranging from Henry Miller to Jim Morrison. Doherty speaks at length about his love affair with the city in the new issue of Clash Magazine, to read the full and uncut version of that interview just click HERE!

It’s a shame he is leaving
It’s a shame he is leaving for France, although he probably needs a break from the UK press using him to sell papers all the time. I hear he has already hired machine movers California to move all the equipment from his studio. Maybe he will sign in French on his next record?
