Following yet another turbulent week of on-the-road antics, wayward Libertine Pete Doherty is now set to appear in court today for driving, drugs and drink offenses.

After a week that’s alreay seen the singer arrested by Swiss police after being found slumped in a flight toilet, Doherty was spotted driving erratically in Gloucester after playing the city’s Guildhall venue and arrested again.

Other than continuing his ongoing battle with the law, Doherty stunned fans recently with a series of Libertines reunion gigs that saw Carl Barat and drummer Gary Powell join the singer for a run of triumphant gigs.

But as was the case in his days with The Libertines, Doherty’s reported drug use could find the singer behind bars, with reports in British newspapers indicating that the singer was found slumped in a toilet on board a British Airways flight in Geneva. The Sunday Mail stated a hypodermic needle was discovered at the scene, and was handed over to police by airline staff.

Just days later, Doherty was then remanded in custody back in the UK. A spokesperson for Gloucester police told website NME.COM that police are refusing to release Doherty until after he goes to Stroud Magistrates Court tomorrow morning. This will also mean tonight's show at the Derby Rockhouse is now cancelled. The spokesperson added yesterday:

"He's been charged with dangerous driving, possession of Class A drugs, drink driving and driving without a valid license and insurance," the spokesperson explained. "He's been remanded in custody and he'll be appearing at Stroud Magistrates Court tomorrow."

Pete Doherty is expected to appear in court at 10 AM today (12th June).
