Pete Doherty Fan Bus Ride
Singer takes fans on tour of Paris
Indie legend Pete Doherty has surprised fans by taking a select band of supporters on a whistle stop tour of Paris in a rented double-decker bus.
Pete Doherty is due to release his debut solo album 'Grace/Wastelands' soon and is on the promotional trail. Recorded with renowned producer Stephen Street, the album features contributions from Blur guitarist Graham Coxon throughout.
Informed by English folk heroes such as Davy Graham, it is Doherty's most personal work to date and confronts many of the themes that have emerged throughout his career.
The songwriter played several songs to fans on the bus journey, which drove around the city the album was partly composed in. Paris is a city close to the singer's heart, with The Libertines playing many early shows there.
Doherty played a selection of songs to the fans before taking requests. Unsurprisingly, The Libertines' back catalogue stood out in the list of requests with the singer performing 'The Good Old Days' and 'Can't Stand Me Now'.
Pete Doherty is set to support the album with a full UK, and has also confirmed several festival appearances.
Pete Doherty releases his debut solo album 'Grace/Wastelands' on March 16th
