Pete Doherty Cancels Show

Former Libertines man Pete Doherty failed to show for a gig in Manchester last night (October 3rd), eventually pulling out an hour before he was due on stage.

According to the Manchester Evening News the Babyshambles singer pulled out of the solo show due to "illness". Never the most reliable of chaps, this is far from the first gig that Doherty has missed.

The singer had successfully managed to turn up to the previous night's date at Hackney Empire, but seemingly was laid low. Or perhaps Doherty was recording another of his infamous Youtube videos, which has featured him jamming with heroes such as Lee Mavers of The La's and Graham Coxon.

Doherty's no show was met with considerable fury by fans, some of whom had travelled far and wide to be there. Unsurprisingly, there has been a large number of complaints, with Doherty yet to comment on his no show.
