Two live dates in August

Seattle grunge titans Pearl Jam will play a handful of shows in Europe over the summer, two of which are to be in London and Manchester.

After news the band were in the studio working on their next album, which saw them re-unite with long term producer Brendan O'Brien - the two parties' first collaborative LP since 1998's 'Yield', the band are set to return.

Founded by Eddie Vedder in the 90s Pearl Jam were one of the first - and most successful - grunge acts of the era, with debut album 'Ten' turning them into one of the biggest U.S. rock acts of the time.

A return has expected for some time from fans, after news emerged earlier in the year the group were possibly planning a comeback movie to mark their 20th Anniversary (in 2011), with previous band collaborator Cameron Crowe rumoured to be directing.

Tickets for the four shows will go on-sale next Friday 8th May at 9 AM.
