Peaking Lights have released new digital only EP ‘Lucifer Re-Lit’ featuring a batch of remixes.
Peaking Lights is a project in perpetual evolution. A husband-wife duo, last year's 'Lucifer' full length was a heady mixture of dub atmospherics, exploratory electronica and jarring guitar lines. Found sound with a human soul, 'Lucifer' was later re-jigged as 'Lucifer In Dub' as Peaking Lights sought to expand on their own work.
Now the pair have released a digital only EP, featuring a further series of remixes. 'Lucifer Re-Lit' is out now via Beatport, with house maestro John Talabot stepping into the fray. Elsewhere, ex-Spacemen 3 man Richard Formby re-works some 'Lucifer' material while left field producer Cole MGN is also on hand to add his own interpretation.
Finally, Black Acre producer - and long time ClashMusic favourite - Romare has agreed to add flourishes of his Afro-Futurism to 'Lucifer'.
'Lucifer Re-Lit' is out now.
