With their ragged energy and joyous love of a fuzzed up guitar, PAWS were immediately lumped in with that there grunge resurgence.
Yet in reality, there was an intimacy to their songwriting, a youthful stride to their sound which placed the Glasgow based group in a space of their own.
Debut album 'Cokefloat!' is still winning fans, while the trio - complete with new bass player Ryan Drever - hit the studio last year. Working at Adam Pierce’s studio in the wilds of New York State, PAWS laid down material at the tail end of 2013.
New album 'Youth Culture Forever' is the result, with Fat Cat set to release the record on June 2nd. New track 'Tongues' has been placed online, and it's an impressive introduction.
The band's sonic palette has broadened, whilst the lyrics linger on the dissolution of a relationship.
