Pavement Re-Issue: Update

Album To Be Delayed

US alt rock dons Pavement are to re-issue their fourth album ‘Brighten The Corners’, but the album has been put back to December 9th due to technical issues.

Pavement ruled the roost in America during the mid 90s. Their off-kilter take on indie rock proved to be the perfect tonic to music fans who’d over indulged on the grunge explosion. Every two years since the year 2000 the band’s UK label has re-issued one of their albums, and now its the turn of ‘Brighten The Corners’ to be expanded.

‘Brighten The Corners: Nicene Creedence Ed.’ will contain the entire 1997 album along with a host of extras, including all associated B-Sides, as well as live versions and studio out-takes. In addition to this, the album will also come with a 62-page booklet featuring interviews with band members, photographs and more.

Amongst the aural delights awaiting the listener on the second disc are sessions from Radio 1 including a very special broadcast from the John Peel Show. Elsewhere there are scattered track from various compilations including the controversial ‘Free Tibet!’ collection.

Pavement’s ‘Brighten The Corners’ will now hit the stores on December 9th.
