Paul McCartney’s Thanksgiving Message

Former Beatle appears in PETA campaign

Paul McCartney appears in a new PETA ad designed to promote vegetarianism at Thanksgiving.

An American festivity, Thanksgiving is a family celebration. Traditionally, loved ones would gather and devour a turkey, but in recent decades vegetarian alternatives have become more and more prominent. Joining forces with PETA, Paul McCartney is helping to toast these alternatives.

The former Beatle appears in a new ad, wearing a t-shirt inscribed with the message 'Eat No Turkey' below the words 'Celebrate Life This Holiday Season. Go Vegetarian'. Narrating PETA's video exposé of the meat industry, Paul McCartney reveals how he spends Thanksgiving.

"We eat a veggie roast at home, so if we have traditional moments like Christmas … the roast is perfect. It's completely vegetarian, but I can slice it, so I can do all my traditional dad things. We can do our family stuff with it, and it's delicious, so I much prefer that to my memory of turkey".

This week also saw the release of Paul McCartney's new concert album 'Live Kisses'.
