Paul McCartney Gives Up Cannabis

Due to a "sense of responsibility"

Sir Paul McCartney has revealed that he has given up smoking cannabis, partly due to his daughter Beatrice.

Paul McCartney has never hidden his love of cannabis. The former Beatle has openly admitted using the drug, and was even busted by Japanese authorities in 1980 for carrying a small quantity of cannabis into the country.

However it seems that in later life Paul McCartney has gone off smoking pot. Speaking to Rolling Stone recently, the singer revealed that he had decided to kick the habit.

"I smoked my share" he said. "When you're bringing up a youngster, your sense of responsibility does kick in, if you're lucky, at some point. Enough's enough - you just don't seem to think it's necessary".

During divorce proceedings, McCartney's former wife Heather Mills claimed that the songwriter smoked weed as often as some people drink cups of tea.
