Patti Smith has lined up her first full UK tour in almost five years, in anticipation of new album 'Banga'.

After a few years spent away from the music industry, Patti Smith seems ready to make her return. New album 'Banga' is released on June 4th, and marks her first statement of original material since 'Trampin' in 2004.

Due to perform at this summer's Hop Farm festival, Patti Smith has now confirmed plans for a full British tour.

Her first full tour on this side of the Atlantic in some five years, the dates run throughout September. Opening on September 4th in Newcastle, the shows then hit Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds and more.

Passing through Cambridge on September 10th, the tour winds down with a final show in London. Taking place at the Troxy on September 13th, the shows will see Patti Smith return to British shores for a rare headline tour.

Tickets are £25 for all the shows except London where they are £27.50. A pre-sale opens tomorrow (April 18th) via Patti Smith's website, before going on general sale at 9am on Friday (April 20th).
