Patrick Wolf Tracklisting Revealed

'Lupercalia' due in May

Patrick Wolf has confirmed the tracklisting to his forthcoming album 'Lupercalia'.

One of the most flamboyant songwriters in the UK, Patrick Wolf does things his own way. Refusing to bask in the acclaim given to 'The Bachelor' the singer immediately went back into the studio.

Working with a number of guest artists, the self-produced sessions took place in locations across Europe and the United States. Using a total of nine different studios, the resulting album is another wildly ambitious affair.

Refusing to sit still, 'Lupercalia' contains excerpts from a choir with a full orchestra. Arranged by Fiona Brice, the musician worked in tandem with Patrick Wolf to bring his vast musical visions to life.

Due to be released in May, pre-orders are already being taken for the album. Limited edition single 'Time Of My Life' was released last year to widespread acclaim, with a follow up now due.

'The City' at times borders on a Rolling Stones groove, with its sleazy charm and Southern soul horns. Bursting onto the airwaves, Patrick Wolf's new single has a relentlessly euphoric feel just in time for Spring.

The material has been getting a lot of attention, with none other than Lady Gaga recently commenting: “I’m really into an artist right now named Patrick Wolf. I think you would really love him – really fantastic, amazing, from the UK”.

Due for release in May, the tracklisting for 'Lupercalia' has been confirmed. Opening with 'The City' other tracks include 'The Future', 'Armistice', 'Slow Motion' and more. Featuring a vast array of instruments, the album is a typically lush, thought provoking affair.

Patrick Wolf is due to release 'Lupercalia' on May 31st.
