Panda Bear For Matt Groening ATP

Broadcast, Deerhunter confirmed

The bill for the forthcoming Matt Groening curated instalment of All Tomorrow's Parties has expanded with Panda Bear, Deerhunter and more confirmed.

All Tomorrow's Parties turns ten at the end of the month, with a spectacular bill containing some of the best acts to have played the event. Now lasting a somewhat unlikely decade, the festival faces its eleventh year with renewed ambition.

In addition to allowing alt rock dons Pavement to take control All Tomorrows Parties are also set to hand the keys to Minehead to animation legend Matt Groening.

The brains behind The Simpsons and Futurama the animator is also a famed music fan. Groening has already curated an ATP event in the United States, but is now set to journey across to the festival's homeland.

New confirmations for next May's bill are Animal Collective side project Panda Bear. Actually, 'side project' is a fairly inadequate description of Panda Bear's otherworldly psych folk with more UK shows to come.

Other new announcements include legendary songwriter Daniel Johnston. At times almost crippled by his struggle with his demons the singer is due to head across the Britain for a no doubt sensational performance.

Also due to play are the likes of Deerhunter, Broadcast and J-Pop legends Shonen Knife. Already confirmed for the bill were Japanese noise merchants Boredums, reformed post punk cult heroes The Raincoats and more.

With more acts still to be confirmed this latest instalment of All Tomorrow's Parties looks to be one of the finest yet, with tickets still available.

Matt Groening curates All Tomorrow's Parties takes place between May 7th and 9th.
