November shows announced

Outkast rapper Big Boi is set to play a series of British tour dates later this year.

Outkast may have done little during the Noughties, but they remain one of the most influential hip hop groups of the decade. Expanding the possibilities of rap, the band threw in elements of psychedelia, indie rock, dance and more.

The band's forward thinking approach has been lacking of late. Outkast took time off after the release of 'Speakerboxx / The Love Below' back in 2003, a split album focussing on separate Andre 3000, Big Boi elements.

Since then, the duo have worked apart with Big Boi releasing his new solo album earlier this year. The ambitiously titled 'Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son Of Chico Dusty' was showered with praise, demonstrating that it wasn't just Andre 3000 blessed with an extravert mind.

Typically forward thinking, the album was an enormous critical success. Delighting fans, Big Boi has also insisted that Outkast are not over, with writing sessions between the two ongoing. Watch this space...

Meanwhile, the rapper has a solo career to think of. Big Boi has arranged a short burst of British shows, representing his first appearance in the United Kingdom for some time.

Recently playing a handful of European festival shows, the rapper will touchdown in Britain on November 1st. Due to play London's HMV Forum, Big Boi will perform in Manchester and Glasgow before the tour comes to a halt.

Just three shows, fans had better make the most of them. Finishing in Glasgow's O2 Academy on November 3rd, tickets for the upcoming shows are due to go on sale later this week.

Big Boi has confirmed the following shows:

1 London HMV Forum
2 Manchester Ritz
3 Glasgow O2 Academy
