Orbital Live Return

Dance boffins return

One of Britain's most celebrated dance acts is set to return with Orbital announcing a string of live dates.

Formed by the Hartnoll brothers, Orbital became a dance institution marking the progression of electronic music from a despised warehouse scene to a widely celebrated journey of musical discovery. Releasing some truly seminal electronic music, Orbital are perhaps best remembered for rave anthem 'Chime'. Recorded on a primitive cassette deck, the single reached the Top 40 as dance culture entered the mainstream.

The band split in 2004, following a final session for John Peel. Orbital will play their first gig as a re-united entity at this summer's Big Chill event. Following on from this, the group will perform at Global Gathering on July 24th and Rock Ness in Scotland on June 13th.

Celebrating 20 years since their first trail-blazing releases, Orbital aim to bring a little reminder of the Second Summer of Love along with them.

Orbital will play the following UK tour dates:

September
19 Manchester Academy
25 London Brixton Academy
