DOOM set to perform...

Poland’s OFF Festival boasts one of the most diverse and enigmatic lineups around with their punk icons, cult artists and hottest up-and-coming bands - the cheap booze and ticket prices is just an extra.

Joining Iggy and the Stooges and Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon and more at the growing festival includes the masked avant-garde hip hop maestro DOOM, who has worked in different projects with acts such as Madlib, Danger Mouse and Jneiro Jarel, and is regarded as one of the strongest presences in hip hop today.

You can read our interview with DOOM in this month’s issue of Clash, which is themed around outsider musicians.

The Wedding present will also be at the Polish event. Starting out in Leeds in 1985, the band were hailed as the new Smiths. Although going through multiple lineup changes throughout the years, the British group have become cult artists in their influence on alternative guitar music. The group will be performing their 1991 album ‘Seamonsters’, which was produced by Steve Albini and recorded in ten days.

Also joining DOOM and The Wedding Present will be Pissed Jeans, Purity Ring, Kuedo, Snowman, Chrome Hoof (performing Hydrozagadka’) and many others.
