Oasis Split - Eyewitness Comes Forward

New reports have emerged which could give fans greater insight into the final epic battle that split Oasis.

Oasis have always fought. An early interview with the NME results in a running verbal battle between Noel and Liam Gallagher, which proved to be so entertaining that it was eventually released as a single in its own right.

However the rows that led up to their final split appear to have taken on another level of malice. Departing the band he helped guide to world fame, Noel Gallagher claimed he was forced to leave after suffering years of "intimidation".

The band were due to play a headline slot at Rock En Seine in Paris in August when they suddenly pulled out. A notice to fans indicated that a row had prevented them from appearing, with Noel Gallagher later revealed to have walked out of the group.

The final chapter in the career of Oasis, eyewitnesses were short on the ground. Bizarrely, Scottish singer Amy MacDonald used her Twitter account to keep fans informed, relaying information provided to her by a roadie.

Now gossip website Holymoly has reported what it claims is an account of the final titanic row in Oasis that split the group.

"The papers quite rightly reported the fact that Noel stormed out from their gig in Paris a minute before they were due onstage because Liam smashed his guitar - but the whole five minutes the saga lasted were proper comedy," the source claims.

According to the report Liam Gallagher brought his own acoustic guitar to strum on in the dressing room when his brother made a "pithy comment about Liam's playing".

"Without thinking, Liam stood up and hurled the guitar at Noel. Naturally it missed and landed next at his feet instead," the website reports.

"Realising Liam had mistakenly thrown his own guitar, Noel looked down, shrugged and stamped seven bells of shit out of it until it resembled the bottom of a hamster's cage."

After this the singer then shoved his way through to the stage area where he destroyed a series of Noel Gallagher's guitars.

Oasis have not commented on the reports.
