Oasis Photo Exhibition
Classic era recalled
A new exhibition will showcase a series of previously unseen photos taken during the mid 90s heyday of Oasis.
Oasis are facing the biggest crisis of their career. After a disastrous row before a festival set in France guitarist Noel Gallagher walked out, possibly for the last time. Writing a message to fans the songwriter warned that he would not be back.
Since then, all has gone quiet with Oasis. Fans have paid tribute to the group, who have previously played shows without Noel Gallagher. Oasis may well continue, but without Noel Gallagher in their ranks they lack a supreme songwriting force.
A new exhibition will allow fans to take a trip down memory lane, with photographer Michael Spencer Jones showcasing his work with Oasis during the mid 90s. As the band began their unstoppable rise to the top, Jones was on hand to work on some important releases.
The photographer worked with Oasis on the covers to a number of their early singles, and even record breaking debut album 'Definitely Maybe'. The group were always aware of their visual appeal, with Jones' shots matching their tough yet tender take on the psychedelic legacy.
Titled 'Out Of The Blue' the new exhibition is set to feature previously unseen shots from some iconic sessions. Amongst the many out-takes are stills from the band's photoshoot for the 'Cigarettes And Alcohol' cover.
'Out Of The Blue' is set to take place in London's Patrick McMillan venue from September 11th.
