Oasis Kick Off UK Shows

Massive UK tour begins

Rock n roll titans Oasis are set to kick off their mammoth U.K. tour tonight in Manchester, and in true Gallagher style have already seen their home city swamped by thousands of fans.

In what looks set to be one of their best shows since Maine Road, tonights Heaton Park gig has seen local residents urged to vote in today's European election early, as Oasis' army of supporters will see the closure of various roads, with access to the polls set to be cut off.

The sprawling tour is also set to see the band play a three-night residency at Wembley Stadium, among others, with support coming from Kasabian (new album reviewed HERE) Twisted Wheel and Reverend And The Makers.

Coventry trio The Enemy were set to perform tonight, however have now cancelled their support slot after frontman Tom Clarke caught an unwanted case of food poisoning. The cancellation comes just weeks after the band caught the wrath of Liam Gallagher, who misunderstood their comments and threatenned their support slot on Twitter.

Meanwhile, on what is proving a busy day for Oasis, Liam Gallagher also launched his clothing label, Pretty Green, this morning.
