Update: Liam reponds

Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher has sent up a distress flare to fans, warning that the group are going through "bad times".

Oasis are no strangers to infighting. One of the band's earliest interviews was later released as a single titled 'Wibbling Rivalry' while Noel Gallagher and his brother Liam have often fallen out. The latest announcement was made by Noel Gallagher in a blog posting, with the band currently on tour in South America.

"We speak at bad times for the Oasis tour," he wrote. "Bad times. We are a rudderless ship at the minute. And there's a fuckin' shit-storm on the horizon. I guess all will be revealed in due course."

"Strange atmosphere. I wouldn't mind but we're in South America! Playing massive stadiums and there's a bit too much hrmph-ing going on for my liking. Shame really."

The one consolation fans can take is that adversity often propels the group to greater heights. Songs such as 'Acquiesce' were written in the aftermath of huge rows that could have torn Oasis apart. Instead the band grouped together to produce some of their greatest work to date.

Noel Gallagher was filmed playing a new song on the band's tour of South East Asia recently. In the blog posting Gallagher claimed the song was titled 'If I Had A Gun...'.

"It's not quite finished yet," he wrote, "but it was quite nice to hear that someone had taped it. Been doing a few new ones lately. They sound quite epic."

Gallagher recently hinted that Oasis would take five years to do another album, with solo projects now the priority within the group. The guitarist also paid tribute to his friend Ricky Hatton, who lost a boxing match in Las Vegas recently.

"A fuckin' disaster,” he wrote. "Knocked out in two rounds. Crushed. I guess the cheque will soften the blow, but still… fuck! Never mind, we can all help him drown his sorrows at Heaton Park".

Oasis are due to play three nights in Manchester's Heaton Park later this year, as part of their biggest UK tour for a decade.

UPDATE

Liam Gallagher has responded to his brother's claims. In a Twitter message the iconic singer told fans the tour was going well.

"In Chile," he wrote. "Gem (Archer), Andy (Bell) Chris (Sharrock) and J (Jay Darlington) treated the lads to an impromptu gig in the bar, AMAZING! Don't know what tour you're on RKID..."

One would think that age

One would think that age would mature these people, but they will probably go on fighting until they split for good. Such a waste of Music talent. They should listen to Man in the mirror. From Michael Jacksons Bad Album.
