2012 dates on sale now
Tickets for Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds 2012 arena tour have gone on sale.
Striding onstage in Dublin to begin his first ever solo tour, Noel Gallagher had just scored a number one album and watched his beloved Manchester City trounce their local rivals 6-1 in a furiously fought derby game.
As Noel Gallagher wryly observed to 5Live: "If Carlsberg did Sundays..."
Claiming the UK's number one spot, Noel Gallagher sold some 120,000 copies in one week. Coldplay have arrived to eclipse that, but it is fair to say that the opening salvo of Gallagher Snr's solo career has gone according to plan.
Set to complete his debut solo tour with three shows in London, the songwriter is already looking ahead to next year's plans.
Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds are set to expand in arena venues, confirming plans to play seven dates next Spring. The guitarist will open the tour in his native Manchester, playing the MEN Arena on February 13th.
Also playing shows in Belfast and Dublin, the tour returns to Britain for a one off stop in Newcastle. Tackling Glasgow's SECC on February 24th, the songwriter will play London's O2 Arena shortly afterwards.
Ending in Birmingham, the tour comes to a close with a show at Birmingham's NIA on March 1st.
