Noah And The Whale Theft Arrests

Two men detained by police

Police in Manchester have arrested two men in connection to the theft of equipment from Noah And The Whale.

Releasing their breezy debut album last year, Noah And The Whale's sensational return is one of the talking points of the year. Out go the ukulele powered singalongs and in come vast orchestration, choirs and heartbreak.

'First Days Of Spring' is the document of a heartbreaking relationship, with lead singer Charlie Fink seeming to pour a traumatic few months from his life into the album.

Without doubt one of the most startling returns of the year, Noah And The Whale have been rewarded with fulsome reviews. Oh, and they also had all their equipment stolen - some people, eh?

Shortly after playing a show in Manchester on September 29th the band returned to their hotel. Leaving their equipment locked up in a trailer outside, Noah And The Whale were stunned to find that the entire trailer has been removed by morning.

Appealing for help, the band issued a statement to fans claiming that the some of the equipment was could not be replaced. Noah And The Whale managed to scrape together enough borrowed gear in order to continue the tour.

Now police have announced that a 31 year-old and a 40 year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of the theft. BBC News reports that police recovered the trailer and an amp in a Salford house on Friday (October 2nd).

Police are now trying to trace a Ford Transit 190 with the registration S144 NBV and featuring an orange light on the back.
