Band Reveal New Project

Acclaimed indie stars Noah And The Whale have revealed plans to create a new album and film together, which will be released at the same time next year.

Emerging from the London alt-folk scene, Noah And The Whale scored a massive chart hit this summer with the lilting melody of 'Five Years Time'. Co-starring Laura Marling, the song matched the festival spirit perfectly and the band played a number of stunning sets the length and breadth of the UK.

Noah And The Whale's debut album 'Peaceful, The World Lays Me Down' was released earlier this year and in a new interview the band's Matt Owens revealed that the group have already begun writing songs for their follow up.

In an interview with BBC 6Music the musician said "we are making a visual accompaniment to the record, so that you can go and see a film with the soundtrack fitting perfectly to it".

He added, "Once we've set it visually people are gonna come to it and be more likely to follow it from beginning to end, rather than cut in between bits. We live in quite a 'soundbite' age. Anything you can do to promote people just sitting down and spending time with the record is a far more rewarding experience."
