Noah And The Whale Equipment Stolen

Band are "devastated"

Returning indie wonders Noah And The Whale have suffered a blow after their equipment was stolen following a show in Manchester.

Noah And The Whale emerged from London's ever buoyant indie folk scene. Recording with Laura Marling, last year's breezy summer hit 'Five Years Time' strolled up the charts as the summer sun was blazing.

However someone seems to have broken singer Charlie Fink's heart in the meantime. Second album 'First Days Of Spring' is full of tears and woe, matched to an ever-expanding musical template.

Touring the UK, Noah And The Whale have suffered a huge blow with their equipment being stolen following a show in Manchester.

Speaking to NME, Charlie Fink explained that as the band were sleeping in Manchester's Park Inn some thieves stole an entire trailer holding all of their instruments. The band had just finished performing at Manchester's Club Academy.

"We just left the van with the trailer outside our hotel, and got up this morning and the trailer was gone. It literally had every single piece of our equipment in it," he explained.

Continuing, Charlie Fink explained that much of the equipment was unique to the band with the singer urging fans to keep their eyes peeked on internet auction sites.

Despite the set back Noah And The Whale are determined to fulfil their UK tour dates. "I think it's good to let people coming to the shows know that this has happened," he explained.

"This morning we were like 'What do we do now?' But we're not gonna stop the tour. We've got a show in Oxford tomorrow and we're gonna do it. We're just working out a way to do it in terms of instruments. The thing is, just because some guys have been complete arseholes doesn't mean we should stop the shows."
