Nile Rodgers and Daft Punk could well collaborate once again on a brand new project.
It's undoubtedly been the biggest single of the year. An international hit, 'Get Lucky' saw Daft Punk matched their robotic guise to Pharrell William's smooth-like-butter tones and the effortless disco chic of Nile Rodgers.
The guitarist acted as a spokesperson of sorts in the run up to the release, keeping fans informed of developments in the absence of any official Daft Punk announcements.
Now the producer has revealed that a fresh collaboration is now at the planning stage. Nile Rodgers is currently on tour, but took time out to tell DJazzTV that he has been leafing through the unreleased sections of his archive.
Picking a number of tracks, Rodgers intends to work with the French duo on at least one 'new' song.
"Daft Punk wants to do at least one of them with me, so that should be very cool" he told the broadcaster. "Because they respect the music. They understand."
